County Durham Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services is the alcohol and drug service for people living in County Durham.
We help people with challenges relating to their alcohol and/or drug use, and help reduce risk-taking behaviour through dedicated prevention, intervention, and support.
We will support you to help achieve and sustain recovery from alcohol and drug use through a range of treatments. We offer a range of support and advice no matter what your needs are.

What each of our services has to offer:
- Hope Team (hospital liaison)
The first point of contact for people who require short-term interventions. - Young person’s workers
Support for young people under the age of 21. - Recovery Academy Durham
Offers a 12-week structured abstinence-based day programme. - Criminal Justice Team
Supporting people through the criminal justice system. - Domestic Abuse Worker
For people experiencing domestic abuse and using substances. - Individual Placement Support Service (IPS)
Supporting anyone with employment who has previously or is currently accessing treatment. - Residential Rehabilitation
We can support people to access residential rehabilitation throughout the UK.
