Children Young People & Family Worker
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: £25,877.80 - £34,240

We are looking for a passionate and committed Children, Young People and Family Worker to support families facing complex challenges.
This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you will manage a caseload, deliver evidence-based interventions and work alongside partner agencies to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes for children and families.
What You Will Be Doing
- Managing a caseload of children, young people and adults that are affected by someone else’s substance misuse
- Building trusting, respectful relationships
- Contributing to assessments and Early Help planning
- Delivering tailored 1:1 interventions and structured group programmes (including CRAFT and SMART Groups)
- Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners
- Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate case records
- Ensuring safeguarding remains central to your work
- Working flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
- Experienced in working with children, young people and adults that are affected by someone else substance misuse
- Skilled at engaging individuals facing complex or challenging circumstances
- Confident managing a caseload and balancing competing demands
- Knowledgeable about safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Compassionate, resilient and solution-focused
An NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is essential, or a willingness to work towards it.
Experience in therapeutic approaches such as CBT, MI or family-based interventions would be advantageous.

Recovery Coordinator
Contract type: Permanent

As a Front of Entry Worker, you will be the first point of contact for individuals accessing the service, providing a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring that people are guided into the service appropriately and receive the right support from the outset.
A core part of the role involves contacting individuals who have been referred into the service, clearly explaining what the service offers, and completing brief initial assessments. This ensures each individual is triaged effectively and allocated to the most appropriate team based on their needs.
You will also support key operational duties, including delivering frontline services such as needle exchange provision and completing associated assessments in line with organisational and clinical guidelines.
The role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage sensitive conversations with professionalism.
What You’ll Do
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams to complete assessments, deliver key working sessions, and provide interventions that support progression from engagement through structured treatment to sustained recovery.
- Facilitate access to appropriate treatment pathways, psychosocial interventions, community resources, and peer support, promoting social inclusion, harm reduction, and sustained recovery.
- Deliver evidence-based one-to-one and group interventions, ensuring interventions are responsive to individual needs and aligned with best practice.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and contribute to case reviews, team meetings, and multi-agency discussions.
- Work in line with safeguarding procedures, clinical governance standards, and organisational policies at all times.
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need
- Knowledge of harm reduction approaches in relation to substance misuse and recovery-oriented models of care (practical experience is desirable).
- Understanding of, and ability to deliver, evidence-based interventions such as: Brief Interventions, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Psychosocial Interventions (PSIs), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ITEP (Intensive Treatment Effectiveness Programme)
- Experience in assessment, recovery planning, and developing effective risk management and safeguarding plans.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload, prioritise workload, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate individuals from a range of backgrounds.
