    Receptionist/Administrator

This post will work across the county within our established integrated drug and alcohol treatment service and will work with stakeholders and community members to ensure the best possible care and treatment is available for the service users we work with.     Receptionist/Administrator is a diverse and rewarding role, key duties you will undertake are:

    • Ensure a friendly, professional, confidential and welcoming environment within the hubs and via the phone for service users, their families/carers and external customers.
    • Creating and Maintaining Accurate Data Records using our bespoke system.
    • Managing service email accounts
    • Providing administration support to wider CDDARS Team
    • Liaising with external agencies

    We have an exciting opportunity to join County Durham Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service as a Recovery Coordinator working for Waythrough.

    Who you’ll be working with… 

    The team is a multi-disciplinary recovery team comprising of colleagues from diverse professional and personal backgrounds. The team includes Recovery Coordinators, HOPE Workers, Sustained Recovery, Housing and Criminal Justice workers, Individual Placement Specialists and Volunteers. We are a supportive and welcoming team, who are passionate about supporting and promoting recovery for those we care for and within our local community.

    The County Durham service has recently been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC and is a great place to work. The service supports adults, children, young people and families across County Durham with drug and alcohol issues. The successful post holder will match our organisational ambition and commitment to provide the highest standards of service delivery across County Durham, engaging with local communities and supporting their priorities.

    Role Overview

    Each role offers the opportunity to make a real and lasting impact on individuals and communities while working as part of a supportive and skilled multidisciplinary team. You will enjoy variety in your day-to-day responsibilities, develop strong relationships and build trust with service users, and gain valuable experience in person-centred planning and care coordination.     Key Duties: 

    • Manage an adult caseload of clients with drug and alcohol issues, reviewing on-going care and treatment and liaising closely with a full range of workers and skills within the multi-agency team, including family members and significant others.
    • Devising, implementing, and reviewing ongoing recovery and treatment plans.
    • Facilitate and promote individuals’ progression from initial engagement, through structured treatment, to self-sustained recovery.
    • Reduce drug or alcohol-related harm to individuals and the wider community.
    • Working collaboratively with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and well-being outcomes for individuals.
    • Support with evening and weekend clinics when needed.
  • Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator

    We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and committed individual to join our Criminal Justice Recovery Coordination Team based in Bishop Auckland. Our team provides support for individuals who are experiencing problematic substance use and are involved with the criminal justice system.

    The Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator role will ensure that we are able to provide specialist, tailored support to enable service users to make positive changes to their lives, whilst combining our knowledge and resources to support the engagement of individuals with a range of needs, within our communities. The role will be based in our centre at Saddler House, Bishop Auckland.

    Working collaboratively alongside our partners National Probation Service, HMP Prison Service, Police and local Court’s teams you will support individuals who require additional intensive support to engage with treatment services.

    • You will offer tailored guidance in minimising harmful behaviour and, if require, support those into service should they need more substantial support.
    • You will take a “whole person” holistic approach, ensuring that every service user’s package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, not just their substance use, with the aim of achieving the best possible outcomes for every person.
