In this page, we have compiled a range of different places where you can find extra support outside of our service, in a range of different areas.

Crisis

Crisis are the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. You can contact their free helpline on 0808 800 4444. Their helpline opening hours are:

Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm – closed on bank holidays.

The Trussell Trust

The Trussell Trust are a national community of foodbanks, with 1,400 locations across the UK. They provide food and practical support to anyone.

Shout

Shout is a free, confidential mental health text service, available 24/7.

Samaritans

Samaritans provide emotional support to anyone in emotional distress, or experiences challenges with their mental health.

You can contact the free helpline at 116 123. The Samaritans helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Mind

Support from Mind is available to anyone who is struggling with their mental health.

You can contact the helpline for free at 0300 123 3393.

The helpline is open Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm – closed on bank holidays.

Papyrus

Papyrus is a UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide, and the promotion of positive mental wellbeing in young people.

You can contact their HOPELINE247 at 0800 068 4141.

CALM

CALM offer services, information and advice to anyone who is struggling.

Durham Mental Wellbeing Alliance

The Durham Mental Wellbeing Alliance is a group of organisations working together to support people in County Durham with their mental wellbeing.

If U Care Share are here to listen and support emotional well being in young people and those affected by suicide.

FRANK offers free information and advice about drugs.

Citizens Advice

Citizens Advice provide a range of free information and advice on areas such as debt, money and benefits.

Harbour is a service that provides support to families and individuals impacted by domestic abuse.
